10 restorative poses for the holidays

musings from me the pretend yoginni (smile) ha ha ha

Yoga means connected or union so what will you connect to? My hope is Christ Jesus. Be still . . . and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
Begin by resting quietly and lovingly in God. No striving. No competition. No comparing. No analyzing. No judging. Just pure sacred acceptance of oneself and those whom surround you.
Every pose is a rite. As much as possible, keep a sense of holiness throughout even the most mundane transitions, breaths, and asanas or stretches. Dedicate each movement to God. If you experience a sense of pain, frustration, or agitation give it to God as a personal sacrifice or prayer and then release it. We are practicing the presence of God together.
We learn easiest from Jesus and gentle dear compassion to ourselves!!!
Learn from within. Imagine we are completely filled with God's Love and golden Light. All feelings and emotions are softened into God's Love. Let it permeate us. Let it surround us. Be with God's Love. Feel it. Let it into every cell of our bodies shimmering glimmering healthy and strong. Soften-relax-release. Notice the peace God's Love and healing brings.
love
love
love
When we love we live our Faith.
When we create friendship and fellowship we connect our beauty with others.
When we create our own art, craft, union---really anything that is not as my yoga teacher Angela in Austin says "synchronized swimming" we are in touch with our true selves.
When thoughts, desires, stresses arise in our conscience mediate on "God," "love," "Spirit," or "Jesus" to quiet our minds and block these intruding distractions.
We let go of the need to accomplish anything right now.
